We work with the finest vendors in the industry. Whether it be catering, floral design, photography, sound & lighting, or entertainment — our planning approach includes constant creative discussions with each vendor, and we prioritize highlighting our client’s personal stories, sentimental moments, and creativity, with that uniqueness fueling our focus during one of the most important days of their life.

About Kolibri

Kolibri NYC is a woman-owned small business that has brought organization and joy to events since 2016. 

Before that, the owner, Una Djokic, worked in the Event Management Industry and Beauty/Fashion Industry as a project manager. 

Extensive venue management experience helps Una foresee and implement all the aspects of planning, ensuring that her clients get exactly what they want + more than they could have imagined. 

In her free time, Una likes to spend time with her family and her cat, read, and travel and seek new magical moments.

No commitments

It can be overwhelming when you start thinking about your event and budget, especially that of a wedding! Even before you decide what kind of event and/or wedding you would like to have, it is beneficial to have a consultation that has no commitments but can shine a light on vendors, the cost, timelines, and what the planning entails. The consultation is in person or over the phone, possibly lasting up to 2 hours. You will walk out of the consultation with a clear sense of the planning process that can save you a lot of future stress and how to allocate your budget properly. Please inquire about pricing.


Month of Planning

Full focus on details

Once you have your venue and vendors, you will need someone to take over and organize the timeline, floor plan, and dozens of small details that make all the difference in your special day. We will collaborate with your vendors and schedule a final walk-through of the venue, where we will discuss the event details, i.e., the timeline and what is expected from the event team. During that month, we are there to answer all of the client’s and vendor’s questions. The week of the event, we will send out everything the vendors need for a successful event: the final timeline, the production schedule, and the floor plan.

We meet with every client to tie all loose ends that will need meticulous attention: the welcome sign, the seating chart, the guestbook, the photo booth, the bar signs…

On the event day, we will be there every step of the way to ensure that deliveries are received and correct and that the staff is attending to the plans and schedule. We’ll create and manage a thorough timeline to design a stress-less event where you can focus on having fun, spending time with family and friends, and having the best day of your lives. Full-Service Planning

The big picture

Planning a major event can be a very challenging project, especially when you are first trying to encompass what is involved in event planning. If you want assistance from start to finish in finding your venue, selecting vendors, and negotiating the many contracts --- we can help! Once the date, venue, and vendors are set (about a year before the event), we can arrange all the site visits to ensure that all the vendors are on the same page with the style and flow. The rental showroom visit, where we pick all the rentals, is included. We will alter, update, and settle any last details for the final site visit. Emails with the floor plans, timelines, and day-of coordination will be sent a week before your event so you know exactly what to expect. After the event, we’ll ensure that all your security deposits are returned to close the event promptly. Throughout the entire planning journey, your only job is to focus on your vision, and we will take care of making it come to life. We prioritize your satisfaction above all else- you deserve to have the perfect event!

I can't say enough about how helpful Una was. We planned our event on very short noticed and she was completely unfazed, able to design and coordinate all of the party essentials within a couple of weeks. She kept the event on track, setting up the tables and place settings, and thinking of small things that I never would have but that made the day special, like preparing for the champagne toast and reminding me to tell guests to take home the beautiful centerpieces. In the days leading up to the celebration she accommodated last-minute changes to the chair and table rental order when our guest number changed, through it all she never seemed hurried or frazzled. Una is someone you want helping you plan your event!
